Dr. Lareine MIKA is the Senior Physician at the University Clinics of Kinshasa, within the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the University of Kinshasa, Dr. Lareine MIKA is a dedicated healthcare professional committed to advancing maternal, neonatal, and reproductive health.

A national expert and trainer in emergency obstetric and neonatal care, she has extensive experience in the management of gynecological cancers, infertility, family planning, minimally invasive surgery, and the fight against gender-based violence. She is also actively involved in adolescent health promotion, with a particular focus on preventing early pregnancies.

Trained in pediatric nutrition by Boston University and specialized in Kangaroo Mother Care with support from USAID, she plays a significant role in improving the quality of care provided to mothers and newborns.

Throughout her career, she has served as Honorary Chief of Medical Staff and Acting Medical Director at Kintambo Maternity Hospital, where she contributed significantly to strengthening maternal and child healthcare services.

Currently pursuing further specialization at the University Clinics of Kinshasa, Dr. MIKA is also an active member of the Stella Diongo NGO, through which she works on the prevention and management of early pregnancies, gynecological cancers, and sexual violence against women, particularly adolescent girls.

Through numerous awareness campaigns and training programs for physicians, nurses, and midwives, Dr. Lareine MIKA continues to strengthen healthcare capacity and promote the well-being of women and children in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
