Victoria Shin-Aba is a distinguished aviation leader and trailblazer in Nigeria, widely respected for her groundbreaking achievements in airport administration and aviation management. With an accomplished career spanning many years in the aviation sector, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership, operational expertise, and a deep commitment to advancing excellence within Nigeria’s airport system.
She made history as the first female Regional General Manager (South-West) of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), a milestone that reflects both her professional competence and her pioneering role in promoting women’s leadership within the aviation industry. In this strategic position, she oversaw major airports and aviation operations across the South-West region, contributing significantly to improved efficiency, safety standards, and service delivery within Nigeria’s aviation infrastructure.
Earlier in her career, she served with distinction at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos, where she obtained important professional airport management certifications, further strengthening her expertise in airport operations, aviation safety, and regulatory standards.
Following a remarkable career dedicated to the growth of Nigeria’s aviation sector, Victoria Shin-Aba is now retired, leaving behind a legacy of excellence, professionalism, and inspiration for the next generation of aviation leaders—particularly women aspiring to leadership roles within the industry.
In recognition of her outstanding achievements and her pioneering role in aviation leadership, Victoria Shin-Aba has been invited as a distinguished Guest of Honour at the prestigious Making Africa Great Ahead / GIFA D’OR Paris.
She will be specially celebrated during the Gala Awards Evening on 6 June 2026 at the historic French Senate, in the prestigious Salle Pourpre, located in Paris, France.
This distinguished gathering will honor visionary African leaders whose contributions continue to shape progress, innovation, and inclusive leadership across the continent and the global African diaspora.
