International Womens’ Right Day. On Saturday, March 21, the Business Femmes Actives network, an association founded by ISIS Anna Mengue, celebrated International Women’s Rights Day at the Centre Anim – Espace Beaujon in Paris’s 8th arrondissement.
A true platform for engagement, Business Femmes Actives stands out as a network dedicated to promoting, supporting, and showcasing women entrepreneurs and leaders. Through its initiatives, it fosters synergies, highlights female talent, and actively contributes to strengthening a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem, particularly within Afro-descendant and diaspora communities.
The event brought together committed women around a shared objective: to create opportunities, share experiences, and explore the prospects offered by innovation. At the heart of the discussions was a key question: can artificial intelligence serve as a catalyst for women’s entrepreneurship? The exchanges highlighted AI as a strategic driver for growth and impact.

Three major panels structured the event: • Agribusiness & Industries
- Arts & Culture
- Women’s Entrepreneurship & Leadership
Blending reflection with celebration, the audience was also captivated by fashion shows showcasing talented young designers, as well as a vibrant performance by the Senegalese choir Popenguine de France, which brought warmth and festive energy to the gathering.
A highlight of the day was the presentation of the Honorary Distinctions – the Rose Dieng Kuntz Award. This award pays tribute to Rose Dieng-Kuntz, a brilliant Senegalese scientist and pioneer in artificial intelligence, recognized for her outstanding career and her commitment to advancing women’s place in science. The first African woman admitted to the École Polytechnique in France and a leading figure in research at INRIA, she remains a source of inspiration for present and future generations.
Three distinctions were awarded: • The family of Rose Dieng-Kuntz, in recognition of her legacy
- Université Sophia Antipolis, for its role in her scientific journey
- Pape Cissokho, philosopher, trainer, and committed changemaker
The day concluded with a convivial cocktail featuring African flavors, fostering rich and promising exchanges.
An inspiring event, reflecting the spirit of Business Femmes Actives, and confirming the dynamism, solidarity, and ability of women to innovate, undertake, and sustainably transform their communities.
